Burns Bog

Here the 2017 Cohort takes a tour of engineered structures that were built to preserve the “Lagg” on Burns Bog. The Lagg is a natural transition zone that helps keep the bogs’ naturally acidic and ombrotrophic ecology separate from surrounding low lying areas. (Image credit: Matthew Morrish)burnsbog
